Trouble Mandeson and Nisse Greenberg host an evening of sharing stories and sharing food. Come bring a dish or a tale from your life or just a pair of ears that listen well as we share our most competitive disasters. Have you ever lost when you should have won, or won when you should have lost? What about that high school swim meet where you almost drowned or that horse show your mom made you do? Do you have a story about a bake off gone bad, or a beer pong game where you were too baked? Maybe you ate the most hot peppers to prove yourself to a date, or you joined a hot dog eating competition on a full stomach. Maybe you experienced an awards show gone rogue, or a conversation where you were competing to see who could be the best intentioned person, or you were trying to flip pancakes better than your partner and it ended in tears! We want to hear your stories! Food is served at 6pm. Show will start at 7pm. All stories are meant to be true, personal stories from your own life. Show is pay-what-you-want. This program is supported in part…

Join local artist Pauline Star for an exhibit of her photography. artistās statement: My name is Pauline. I am 35 years old and donāt consider myself a professional artist. I have fun with my art, and what started as a hobby for many years has recently become a small business. I am a woman in long-term recovery and a mother to two beautiful, amazing children. I have a love for colors and nature. I see the beauty in all things. Something I hope I am passing on to my children. As a mom in recovery, I need to find time to fill my spirit with healthy things. One of those things I found was photography. I would wake before the sun came up and drive. I sometimes searched for the darkest dirt roads and highest peaks to get the right shots. When I looked for something to shoot with my camera (just my iPhone), I went with how it felt emotionally. I would snap a picture if I saw something that resonated with me. It brings me great joy to share my pieces with you, and I hope these pictures and art give you a feeling of beauty and pleasure…

Warning: This workshop may cause multiple moments of mirth, foster greater comfort in new situations, inspire creativity, lift your mood, release stress, make you more spontaneous, ease you into connecting enjoyably with other people and even make you laugh out loud. Using improv games, we will become a fast thinking, in the moment, loose goose brigade. Youāve been warned. Hereās a little more about the content of the workshop from Henry: Although Iāll be using improv based exercises, theyāll be mostly warmup and group game activities. Not really improv scene or narrative building work. We will end with one or two short form improv performance type games, however. Focus will be on loosening up and having fun. If you are looking for serious improv study this wonāt be it, but might be a good way to ease into it. That all said, the main objective is fun on a Saturday afternoon. Every 2nd and 4th Saturday! $5ā10 suggested donation per session. No improv experience necessary. Intended for adults. Limit of 15 please, so sign up now: email [email protected]. about your host: Iām Henry Balzarini and a native of Boston. In the 1980ās I lived in New York City where I…

On every last Friday of the month downtown Greenfield comes alive in a celebration of the local arts scene! The Greenfield Arts Walk is a town-wide event featuring a cohort of local arts organizations including Madhouse Multi-Arts, Hawks & Reed, and Greenfield Gallery to name a few. The Arts Walk's mission is to grow the local creative community and economy by attracting interest from beyond the region while strengthening the connections within. During the Arts Walk, many featured destinations showcase work submitted by local artists, providing them with an excellent opportunity to gain a stronger local following and sell their work.
