Solar Eclipse Party

About This Event

Solar Eclipses! Sunshine cookies! “Ask a Scientist”, oh my!

Come to the Greenfield Public Library on Monday, April 8, for an Eclipse Party from 1 – 5 pm!

Sponsored by PV Squared and the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library, GPL will host a variety of events related to the eclipse and solar power:

  • PV Squared Solar will bring their solar-powered trailer and will have info-boards about solar energy, eclipses, and other sun fun! Bring all of your solar-energy questions!
  • Didn’t get to make a solar viewer at the library last week?  You will have the opportunity to make one from a paper plate!
  • From 1 – 2 pm, there will be an opportunity to meet and ask questions of Jon Child, Solar & Environmental Science Expert, who will be on hand to talk about Climate Change topics, Pole/ Iceberg Research, and Solar Science/ Energy.
  • At 2 pm, the eclipse will start and will go until about 4:30 pm. The library will have eclipse glasses available for use at the program.

In the event of rain, GPL will be showing a movie from 3: – 5 pm which features an eclipse.

We hope to see you here!
