Welcome to the Valley Tea Dance. Our local dances are fun, safe and a welcoming space for Lesbian/Queer women identified people to get together and dance. We recognize and appreciate the complexity and beauty of all genders. Our aim is to create an enjoyable space specifically for women and adjacent individuals who love women. Therefore, our dances are specifically for this group. Trans women and non-binary folk who connect with femininity are part of our Community. The dances are a collaborative effort of Holyoke Lesbian Meetup and Hawks and Reed.

Good ‘n Toasty pizza pop-up is a female owned and operated business based in Greenfield, MA. Good ‘n Toasty was born out of the midst of COVID-19 to one small woman with big dreams, Nicole Nartowicz. With a focus on local seasonal ingredients, Good ‘n Toasty creates New England inspired 12″ Neapolitan style pizzas in our two Gozney Roccbox ovens. Good ‘n Toasty believes in thinking globally and acting locally, which is why we use compostable plates, pizza boxes, napkins, and utensils that we recycle, along with any food waste, at Martin’s Farm Compost & Mulch in Greenfield. Judith Maloney of West County Cider (MA) Crowned Queen Pomona in 2019, Judith is well-known as Co-Founder of CiderDays (1994). In 1984 she helped put cider back on the map for all by launching the first commercial cidery since prohibition in the US with late husband Terry Maloney. Lisa Laird Dunn of Laird’s & Company (NJ) A 9th generation Laird, Lisa is the COO and Global Ambassador, for America’s oldest distiller (circa 1698). Even George Washington was a known fan of Laird’s Apple Jack! Today the Lairds continue on with their 300+ year tradition of providing quality apple spirits all while keeping family first. Louisa Spencer of Farnum Hill Cider and Poverty Lane Orchard (NH). Based in Lebanon this cidery founded by Louisa and husband Steve Wood is surrounded by spectacular orchards that are famous for providing select cider apples to makers across the US and in every bottle of Farnum Hill. CIDER DAYS: Orchard Care For Homeowners with John Bunker

John Bunker is an American legend when it comes to Apples and Apple Trees. He is the founder of the mail order nursery Fedco Trees, a division of the cooperative Fedco Seeds. John is well known for his art which can be found in every Fedco catalogue. For most of his life, he has worked to preserve rare old apple varieties from across Maine and the New England region. He founded the Maine Heritage Orchard in Unity, Maine in 2012. This orchard is magnificent and a must visit when in the area! His most recent book Apples and the Art of Detection: Tracking Down, Identifying and Preserving Rare Apples (2019) is yet another masterful book by this author. It is an undeniable resource for homeowners and apple detectives who wish to identify their found trees. This one hour talk is geared towards small orchards of 1-10 tree. It is the perfect fit for homeowners or stewards. Help your trees bear fruit, for pies and cidermaking!

In My Tribe: The Natalie Merchant/10,000 Maniacs Tribute

“In My Tribe” was formed as a labor of love to honor American songstress Natalie Merchant, both as a member of the internationally acclaimed group the “10,000 Maniacs” and as a solo artist.  The name of the band comes the from the Maniacs 1987 album “In My Tribe” that contained the hits “What’s The Matter Here”, “Like The Weather”, and “Don’t Talk”, just to name a few.  Every concert will weave it’s way between Maniacs songs and Natalie’s solo material, and between hits, hidden gems and other rarities.
