Additionally, to enhance both the Market and the community, we include baked goods and value added food products, crafts and other locally prepared merchandise on a space-available basis, to educate the consumer in the value of local production. The Greenfield Farmers’ Market usually has 30 participating vendors that sell a wide variety of organic and conventional produce ranging from heirloom tomatoes, yellow & green squash, potatoes, corn, multiple varieties of lettuce, onions, scallions, culinary herbs, swiss chard, kale, beets, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet & hot peppers, strawberries, red & black raspberries, blueberries, apples, peaches, pears, plums, apple cider, watermelon, leeks, perennial plant – cone flower, bee balm, hosta, pansies and many more varieties of plants, locally raised grass-fed beef, pork and lamb, fresh eggs, cheese and so much more!

This will be an interactive program, so please bring your family's migration and/or immigration stories and experiences to share. With students Bella, Jay, Jemenae, Johan, Jose, and Leilani, and instructors Gloria Matlock, Becca Eowind, and Michael Nix. Twice as Smart is a Greenfield, MA program that assists children with their educational endeavors. Director Gloria Matlock and her team teach communication and homework skills, financial literacy, and other topics. Racial Justice Rising's programs are supported in part by grants from these Local Cultural Councils: Amherst, Ashfield, Bernardston, Buckland, Charlemont-Hawley, Conway, Deerfield, Gill, Greenfield, Heath, Montague, New Salem, Northfield, Orange, Pelham, Rowe, Shelburne, Shutesbury, Warwick, Wendell, and Whately, local agencies which are supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.

Paint Pen Pumpkin Decorating

Kids and families, join Children's Librarian, Ellen Lavoie, and customize your own tiny pumpkin with quick-drying toxic-free paint pens! This drop-in program will have four sessions, all taking place after school from 3:30 - 4:30pm under the tent in front of the library (weather permitting).
