  Stop by the library or look online for a map of our annual Winter Carnival themed poetry walk. Ten poems will be posted around town to reflect and enhance your winter carnival experience. Not able to make it to the Winter Carnival? No problem! The poems will be posted throughout the month. These programs, generously sponsored by the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library, are free and open to everyone.

If this is you, and you would like to put a few drops of oil on your rusty French conversation skills, have a seat at La Table Française, the 4th Tuesday of the month, from 5:30 - 6:30 pm, in the GPL Conference Room. This is an intermediate conversation group, not a class. Tamara Grogan, Greenfield resident and 25-year veteran French teacher, will facilitate. Join Nese Uysal and The LAVA Center for a reception for Nese’s exhibit, “My Inner Joy”! Nese’s exhibit will be on display in March. Nese Uysal was born in Turkiye and now lives in Amherst, MA. She is an educator and works in an elementary school. She enjoys doing arts and crafts. When she creates arts and crafts, she uses different materials such as fabric, paper, small objects, and the like, embroidery is one of the main techniques she uses in her creations. For Nese, creating art with different materials and techniques is a great source of joy. She finds happiness, healing, and defining in the process.

Welcome to the Valley Tea Dance. Our local dances are fun, safe and a welcoming space for Lesbian/Queer women identified people to get together and dance. We recognize and appreciate the complexity and beauty of all genders. Our aim is to create an enjoyable space specifically for women and adjacent individuals who love women. Therefore, our dances are specifically for this group. Trans women and non-binary folk who connect with femininity are part of our Community. The dances are a collaborative effort of Holyoke Lesbian Meetup and Hawks and Reed.
