Join us at the Greenfield Public Library for Tween Tuesday, a monthly activity program especially for tweens aged 8-12… with an after school snack! This month we’ll be making our own stickers using coloring pages, clear packing tape and parchment paper!   Come visit GCC at the GPL!!  An admission representative will be tabling at the Greenfield Public Library on Tuesday, May 7, from 10:00 - 11:30 am to talk more about the MassReconnect Program, which gives aid to students 25 and over who don't have a college degree to attend community college for free!   MassReconnect funds free community college certificates and degrees including all costs related to tuition, fees, books and supplies. Meditative Writing (Drop In): The U. S. Constitution

Starting on March 5, Massachusetts Primary Election Day, and continuing throughout this year’s election season, stop by the Greenfield Public Library’s Local History Room on Tuesdays to copy and reflect on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution. Take a break from the hectic, often frenzied, election news coverage to study, reflect, and increase your understanding of our rights as citizens of the United States.   Copies of the documents and writing materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own! GPL Goes to the Movies

Join us on Thursdays at 2:00 pm for “GPL goes to the Movies”. Due to licensing restrictions we can’t share the names of the movies, but we can give you the following hints:  A Hollywood actor who has risen from vaudeville to become a silent film star must make the difficult transition to sound films.  Doors open 30 minutes before the show starts. Outside food and drink are allowed. Wednesday Night Writers Workshop

Writers are invited to attend a weekly informal gathering on Wednesday nights at 6 pm, in the GPL Local History Room, to workshop their prose and poetry in-progress. Everyone is welcome to bring three single-spaced or six double-spaced pages max and enough copies so that everyone can read along and provide feedback. Writers will take turns reading their work aloud, with a volunteer moderator leading the discussion. Writers aren’t allowed to talk while being critiqued. This program, made possible through the generosity of the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library, is free and intended for ages 12 and up.
