"Community Conversations 413" is a student-run initiative designed to support English language learners by providing informal English conversation practice in a friendly environment. This program is open to both teens and adults. The name 'Community Conversations 413' reflects our belief that sharing our differences through dialogue enriches our community. By engaging in meaningful conversations, we can become more well-rounded individuals. This initiative focuses on supporting English Language Learners in our community by engaging them in meaningful English centered conversations. Wednesday Night Writers Workshop
Greenfield Public Library 412 Main St, Greenfield, MA, United StatesWriters are invited to attend a weekly informal gathering on Wednesday nights at 6 pm, in the GPL Local History Room, to workshop their prose and poetry in-progress. Everyone is welcome to bring three single-spaced or six double-spaced pages max and enough copies so that everyone can read along and provide feedback. Writers will take turns reading their work aloud, with a volunteer moderator leading the discussion. Writers aren’t allowed to talk while being critiqued. This program, made possible through the generosity of the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library, is free and intended for ages 12 and up.
NELCWIT Information Session
Greenfield Public Library 412 Main St, Greenfield, MA, United StatesThe Community Organizer of New England Learning Center for Women in Transition (NELCWIT), will be at the Greenfield Public Library to offer information and answer questions about their programs and services. NELCWIT is the domestic and sexual violence resource center of Franklin County and the North Quabbin. They provide resources, referals, counseling, 24/7 hotline services, support groups, and more to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Their services are free of charge, confidential, and available to people of all ages, genders, races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, abilities, economic statuses and immigration statuses. Dial/Self Help Americorps Information Session

Are you someone looking to gain practical experience? Stop by the DIAL/SELF AmeriCorps table at the Greenfield Public Library on Thursday, January 23, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Learn how you can become a DIAL/SELF AmeriCorps member. This is a full time 10 month service learning program where members serve young people in schools and local agencies with the goal of offering resources, care and opportunities for growth! You learn from professionals, gain personal & professional skills, make community connections and pay for your education! Members receive a living stipend of up to $19,000 during service and receive an Educational Award of $7,395 upon completion of the program to pay for your education. Tapestry Information Session
Greenfield Public Library 412 Main St, Greenfield, MA, United StatesMembers of Tapestry Health will be at the Greenfield Public Library to answer questions and provide information about their free and low cost health care options and services. Stop by to learn how to book appointments, pick up safer-sex supplies, and other Tapestry swag! Tapestry is a human services organization that focuses on sexual health. They believe that access to compassionate, accurate, high-quality healthcare should be available to everyone. Tapestry provides safe spaces in all four counties of Western Mass where anyone can receive the care they need without fear of judgment or stigma. This program is free and open to everyone in our community.
GPL Lego Club (drop-in)

All ages and skill levels are welcome, for both casual and serious games. Chess instruction is available for beginners, and anyone wanting to learn the game. Roundhouse Craft Program Winter Edition: Appliqué Hand Warmers
Greenfield Public Library 412 Main St, Greenfield, MA, United StatesThis two-session workshop will teach participants the art of Alabama Chanin-inspired reverse appliqué, using recycled materials to create unique and functional hand warmers. The technique blends hand-sewing with creative upcycling, perfect for crafters of all skill levels who want to explore sustainable fashion.
