Stone Soup Community Meal
Stone Soup Cafe 399 Main Street, Greenfield, MA, United StatesOur Community Meal provides access through curbside and delivery service to delicious, nutritious, scratch-cooked, balanced meals every Saturday to all of our community members on a pay-what-you-can basis. Our menus cater to various dietary needs and cultural cuisines with vegetarian, vegan, or meat selections. Everything we make is GLUTEN-FREE! We offer a "prix fixe" menu that typically includes an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert. While guests can modify these based on dietary restrictions, there is only one option to choose from per course. Since COVID, Stone Soup Café has had to shift from a buffet-style lunch to a fixed, set menu for curbside pickup or delivery. The Café prides itself on providing a delicious, nutritious, edible, incredible, meal every Saturday – come rain, snow, or sunshine! Delivery We deliver meals to Greenfield - Bernardston - Gill - Deerfield - Shelburne Falls - Colrain - Turner's Falls - Montague - Whately - Sunderland - Northfield. The LAVA Center 324 Main Street, Greenfield, MA, United StatesThe Comedy Project announces its first matinee, Old Hippies…New Hips: Reflections on Decaying in Place, on Sunday June 28 at 2:00PM at The LAVA Center 324 Main Street in Greenfield. People of all ages welcome to get a glimpse of the future. “My friends are old,” according to producer, Andrea CK, “and our usual fourth Thursday shows at 7pm are way past their bedtimes. This matinee is starting at 2pm, so they can get to the early bird special at the restaurant by 4:00 and be in their pajamas by 6:00.” Old Hippies… New Hips will feature four outstanding comics; all of whom are old and a most of them do have bad hips. The incomparable, Henry Balzarini will host. Award winning storytellers, Marian Kelner and David Bulley will share their reflections on aging. Paul Bennett and Andrea CK fill out the show with their comedy sets with all new old material. Plus, the first local appearance of “Stars in Their Eyes” live lip syncing – featuring dancing girls Tess, Sandy and Marsha. CB is the Emotional Support Human for The Comedy Project. Carousel: A 4-Week Writing Workshop with L Scully
Looky Here 28 Chapman Street, Greenfield, MA, United States4 weeks, 4 themes, and your new year’s writing commitment. Over the course of four weeks, gather to discuss and generate new work with writer L Scully. This workshop will occur Monday evenings in March/April in two hour, limited group sessions at Looky Here. Each week we will explore a different theme through literary and artistic references, group discussion, and generative writing prompts provided live and in session. The ultimate goal of this workshop is to jumpstart your writing practice for the summer in a supportive and productive environment guided by a tapestry of subject matter. Smack Dab Queer Open Mic is a free 18+ LGBTQIA community open mic in Greenfield, MA with the slogan “All genders, all the time.” Your hosts are Jules and Avery. Smack Dab Queer Open Mic is modeled after the now defunct Smack Dab in San Francisco, founded in 2003 by Kirk Read and Larry-bob Roberts at Magnet, the gay men’s health clinic in the Castro.
