Our local dances are fun, safe and a welcoming space for Lesbian/Queer women identified people to get together and dance. We recognize and appreciate the complexity and beauty of all genders. Our aim is to create an enjoyable space specifically for women and adjacent individuals who love women. Therefore, our dances are specifically for this group. Trans women and non-binary folk who connect with femininity are part of our Community. The dances are a collaborative effort of Holyoke Lesbian Meetup and Hawks and Reed.
Resilient Greenfield Organizing Party 5/5, 2-5pm LAVA
The LAVA Center 324 Main Street, GreenfieldResilient Greenfield is a new way to shift from climate crisis avoidance, distraction, aimless talk or symbolic action to community-based, results-oriented organizing and project work. Join us for an afternoon of music, food, conversation and community building at The LAVA Center. Bring an instrument, potluck food, and/or your ideas to answer, "What can we do together in response to the climate crisis?" After the fun (3:30ish), we'll talk to climate experts, organizers and nonprofits about how to make Greenfield more resilient to climate impacts, ending with an open conversation about visions and next steps for Resilient Greenfield.
