Conway Fine Arts presents WxNW/ West by Northwest New England Festival (formerly Heirloom Festival). Student tickets: sliding scale $10-15 (willcall only) Wine-tasting admission: $30 (only available at the door) This year's theme is 'Classical Folk Tales: folk dressed up for the stage.' Three different programs over three evenings with music and verse for all ages! On Friday and Saturday, native American and Roma-gypsy music is featured, and on Sunday there will be a focus on blues and spirituals. All three evenings include narratives by Pushkin, Virginia Woolf, James Fenimore Cooper, and Langston Hughes, dramatized by actor Laura Zawarski, with music for string quartet by Gershwin, Haydn, Bartok, Amy Beach, and Florence Price.
