Event Series Greenfield Farmers’ Market

Greenfield Farmers’ Market

Court Square Court Square, Greenfield

Established in 1975, the Greenfield Farmers’ Market provides a direct, profitable retail sales outlet for area Farmers/Growers, and promotes the production of high quality locally grown produce and other farm or agricultural products. Additionally, to enhance both the Market and the community, we include baked goods and value added food products, crafts and other locally prepared merchandise on a space-available basis, to educate the consumer in the value of local production. The Greenfield Farmers’ Market usually has 30 participating vendors that sell a wide variety of organic and conventional produce ranging from heirloom tomatoes, yellow & green squash, potatoes, corn, multiple varieties of lettuce, onions, scallions, culinary herbs, swiss chard, kale, beets, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet & hot peppers, strawberries, red & black raspberries, blueberries, apples, peaches, pears, plums, apple cider, watermelon, leeks, perennial plant – cone flower, bee balm, hosta, pansies and many more varieties of plants, locally raised grass-fed beef, pork and lamb, fresh eggs, cheese and so much more!

Born out of the desire to explore and blend a variety of interlocking musical influences, TapRoots is a new vision of cultural sonic fusion that touches the live wire of the spirit, body and mind. This is not “Epcot Center” style cultural fusion; this is a raw, energetic, untamed and complex look at how these musical traditions — and all of us – are related. TapRoots is deep tracks with deep roots for the true music aficionado. Together we travel beyond the borders of traditional popular music, bringing the listener on a journey filled with catchy hooks, pulsing rhythms, thought provoking lyrics and intricate musical motifs, all fueled by a unique synthesis of sound, spirit and passion into a powerful, deeply rooted, listening experience. Sugar Kings is a Boston-based quartet known for their dynamic live performances, rich harmonies, intense musicianship and ability to transcend genres with an authenticity rarely heard. In their world, respect is paid to the forefathers and traditions of Afro-Cuban Son, Salsa and Rumba-Flamenca but Sugar Kings (named after a Cuban baseball team) also actively draw on influences from nearly every continent in their unique roots-rock-reggae repertoire.…
