Weaving together sounds of acoustic guitar, banjo, piano, and lush vocal harmonies, this duo invites the audience to sing and experience the connection that music inspires. James Bird is akin to a bard from ancient times, wandering forests barefoot to find the songs in the wind. Hailing from Shelburne Falls, James is a multi-instrumentalist and poet who aims to invite magic out of the seemingly ordinary. Drawing upon threads of mythology, mysticism and personal experience, James weaves melodic music that is eclectic, thought-provoking, and empowering.

This November, Hawks and Reed will be hosting a free with donation multi genre Underground Electronic Music party in the Pushkin! Admission is free with the donation of one new toy that will be distributed by Community Action to children in our community. Tis the season of giving and celebration and we've got you covered! No one will be turned away for lack of payment but donations in the form of packaged toys, gift cards, or money are highly encouraged. We have an amazing lineup of DJs coming together from different genres to support this cause: Miz Andromeda (Techno) Beastman (Dubstep) Dip (Drum and Bass) DJ Bookum (House) Chice (Trance) Sonic Bee (Breakbeats) And as always, be kind and be respectful. Space Dog and Hawks and Reed have a zero tolerance policy against racism, sexism, ageism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia and any unwanted touching.
