The Greenfield Garden Club 's 28th Annual Extravaganza plant sale, complete with "Rise and Shine" bake sale, garden-related tag sale, drawings, and vendors. Each year sees different contributions, so we could have perennials, shrubs, trees, bulbs, tubers, herbs, annuals, and/or houseplants. Westen MA Master Gardeners will be onsite from 9-11 offering Ph Soil Testing for a suggested donation of $2 per soil sample. Learn how to take a soil sample before you come. Open House Retirement Celebration for Library Director Ellen Boyer

On Wednesday, June 28, an Open House Retirement Celebration will be held for Library Director Ellen Boyer at the John Zon Community Center from 6-8pm. Join members of the Greenfield Public Library’s staff, Trustees, Foundation, and Friends in thanking Ellen for her years of service and dedication to the community including her accomplishment in establishing Greenfield’s first purpose-built library. All are welcome to attend this open house. Refreshments will be available.

Our 27th Plant Sale with Vendors, Morning Coffee and Baked Goods, Special Drawings, Garden-themed Tag Sale, and Master Gardeners doing pH tests ($2 donation). In addition to our member-donated plant sale, our vendors will be selling plants, crafts and local maple syrup. Joining us will be Black Jungle, Checkerspot Farm, Iron Arts, Sarah Adam Painted Slate, Sue Carlson Vintage Fabric Designs, Karen's Krafty Corner, Ed Johnson's Leyden Maple Syrup, Martha Thompson Plants, and Nannette Rolstad Quilling. In addition to member-baked goods, we will have items from Rise Above Bakery in Greenfield and Sweet Lucy's Bakery in Bernardston. Come early for best selection! All proceeds to benefit our community Grant Program.

Mayor’s Annual Holiday Food Drive with Officer Frankie

Come meet Officer Frankie at his first public event! Officer Frankie will be assisting the Mayor at the Mayor's Annual Holiday Food Drive. He will be attending the drive on Wednesday December 21st from 4p-6p at the Jon Zon Community Center. Rachel’s Table is the premier food rescue and distribution program in Western Massachusetts, created by members of the Women’s Philanthropy Division of the Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts to address food insecurity in the region. Since 1992, Rachel’s Table has been working to alleviate hunger and reduce food waste in our community the following towns and cities and their surrounding areas: Springfield, Longmeadow, West Springfield, Feeding Hills, Chicopee, Holyoke, Indian Orchard, Westfield, Northampton, Amherst, Easthampton, Greenfield, Orange and Turners Falls.
