Tory Hanna: St. Patty’s Birthday Bash
About This Event
On the corner of a quiet street just outside downtown Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts sits the small church where Tory Hanna began performing music. He was a young child singing in the choir where his mother was the longtime church music director.
Pretty much everything you need to know about the roots of the man and his music start there, with the mingling of music, love and community. Now more than 10 years into a successful music career, those three cornerstones remain at the center of everything he does.
His work as a solo artist and a member of the acclaimed folk/rock collaborative The Whiskey Treaty Roadshow has garnered Hanna and his colleagues praise from Rolling Stone, No Depression, American Songwriter and more. He has shared stages with Blues Traveler, the Gin Blossoms, Barenaked Ladies and Deertick and shared a studio and a cigarette with folk royalty and fellow Berkshires native Arlo Guthrie.
There is an energy to Hanna’s music and spirit that spreads like a cheerfully crashing wave upon anyone around him. A boundless, light, transparent brightness that, through his music and his actions, tells everyone he comes into contact with, “Follow me, it’s gonna be ok.”
