PIONEER VALLEY JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL: Paris Boutique
About This Event
Pioneer Valley Jewish Film Festival
Founded in 2004 and presented by the Springfield Jewish Community Center, the Pioneer Valley Jewish Film Festival proudly continues its tradition of showcasing award-winning films from around the world. Join us for a multifaceted cinematic exploration of Jewish identity, community and history!
Typically, our diverse lineup of films are screened in festive venues across Western Massachusetts. In 2021 and 2022, we pivoted to virtual programming. We’re pleased to share that we’ll return in-person in 2023! As always, PVJFF is a unique opportunity for community dialogue, both within and outside of the Jewish community.

Louise, a Parisian Jewish lawyer on her way to finalize an important real estate deal in Jerusalem, meets Neta, an Israeli freelance cabbie who dreams of opening a hotel in Mahane Yehuda. Together the two women stumble upon a secret connection between an ulta-Orthodox woman and a Christian man who communicate through notes hidden within the grooves of the Wailing wall in the Old City of Jerusalem. Intrigued by this mystery, Louise and Neta follow this puzzling couple through the alleyways of the city. This comedy of errors in the heart of magical Jerusalem follows the story of friendship between two women at a critical point in both of their lives.
Nominated for six Israeli Academy Awards (Ophirs) and starring Nelly Tagar (Zero Motivation and The Art of Waiting)
COMEDY | 2022 | 81 MINUTES

Year after year, PVJFF presents critically acclaimed films that not only entertain, but also provide opportunities for reflection, discussion, and a deeper understanding of our complex, diverse world. Film screenings and accompanying programs aim to illuminate universal themes such as identity and belonging, conflict and reconciliation in the Middle East, social justice and civic engagement.
We are thrilled to celebrate our 17th year of bringing educational, entertaining and thought-provoking Jewish-themed films to the Pioneer Valley community. See you at the movies!
