About This Event

FRI, FEB 9TH – THU, FEB 15TH
The Greenfield Business Association invites you to shop and dine locally this Valentine’s Day with an “I would not be caught dead at the mall” double feature at the GARDEN. Two great zombie movies back on the big screen both celebrating their 20th anniversary: Dawn of the Dead and Shaun of the Dead. Buy a ticket for one movie and get into the other movie for FREE!!!!

Dawn of the Dead (R) (2004) directed by celebrated Zack Snyder (Army of the Dead) and written by George Romero (Night of the Living Dead) and James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy). Starring Oscar winning actress Sarah Polley (Women Talking), Vig Rhames (Pulp Fiction), Mekhi Phifer (ER), Jake Weber (U-571), Ty Burrell (Modern Family), Michael Kelly (Now You See Me) and a zombie hoard of other stars. Amidst the zombie apocalypse an eclectic group of suburbanites end up taking refuge in the deserted Crossroads shopping mall . . . but will they make it out alive?

Shaun of the Dead (R) (2004) is a classic zombie comedy directed and written by Edgar Wright (Last Night In Soho) with a writing assist by star Simon Pegg (Star Trek) also starring Nick Frost (The World’s End), Kate Ashfield (Beyond Borders), Lucy Davis (Wonder Woman), Rafe Spall (Hot Fuzz), Peter Serafinowicz (Guardians of the Galaxy) and a who’s who of people you recognize but don’t know who they are. A British homage to the apathy and indifference of ordinary people in a parody and spoof of the zombie apocalypse genre. The lighthearted plight of the protagonist is as much about not pissing off his girlfriend or his dead-beat mate as it is about survival.

Sponsored by the Greenfield Business Association of which the Greenfield GARDEN Cinema is proud to be a member. Go shopping or dining at a GBA member business February 1st – Feb 8th and get a chance to win free tickets to the double feature. Make this a great add on to dinner for Valentine’s Day in a Greenfield Restaurant. We promise this is a night your loved one won’t forget. And remember don’t go shopping at the mall – you might get eaten by zombies.

Tickets (good for both movies) are $10.50 for adults, $8.50 for seniors, students, veterans and matinees. $5.00 on Tuesday.
