413Ska Sunday Matinee ft. MEPHISKAPHELES/SGT SCAG/MEGA INFINITY/ PINK SLIP
About This Event
413Ska is bringing you the best Ska in the Valley and they’ve got an amazing lineup coming to you for the November Sunday Ska Matinee with Mephiskapheles, Sgt Scag, Mega Infinity, and Pink Slip!
Mephiskapheles, a key player in modern ska, continues to push boundaries with its unique ska fusion and exciting new music. Formed in NYC’s East Village in 1991, the band quickly gained a loyal following and achieved notable success with sold-out shows, tours with Buzzcocks and GWAR, and charting singles from their debut album *God Bless Satan*. Their 1997 album *Maximum Perversion* was acclaimed, and their 1999 release *Might-Ay White-Ay* further showcased their innovative sound. The 2015 EP *Mephiskapheles*, featuring the hit “Satan Stole My Weed,” and the 2019 EP *Never Born Again* reflect their return to darker, melodic roots. Led by frontman Grylli and a top-notch rhythm section, Mephiskapheles continues to captivate with legendary performances, a reissue program, and new music on the horizon.
Sgt. Scag (aka Sgt. Scagnetti) is a fixture on the Northeast ska/punk scene since the late 1990’s. Songs about dysfunctional parenting and revenge fantasies developed into teen center anthems. After an 18-year break, the band is BACK actively writing and recording new material about the drug of nostalgia and illegal firework salesmen . They will play the old stuff too. Don’t worry.
PINK SLIP is an 8 piece Boston ska punk band with big hooks and a bigger heart, serving high energy anthems with a healthy spritzing of sass. Featuring a hefty horn section and soulful, soaring choruses, PINK SLIP will get you dancing whether you’ve been a ska kid since day one or dipping your toe into the scene for the first time.
Mega Infinity is a Nü York based, genre-bending band formed in 2014. Crowds love their live sets for their megaphone, dance moves, sing alongs, and guitar solos. They’ve performed at events including Music Festivals, Pride Festivals, and even the NYC Marathon. Their EP Chaos Magick was released on Ska Punk International Records in October 2023 and named a top pick of 2023 by PunkNews.“Mega Infinity don’t fit into a singular box, and they like it that way.”- Substream Magazine
