On Christmas Eve, an old miser named Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by the spirit of his former partner, Jacob Marley. The deceased partner was in his lifetime as mean and miserly as Scrooge is now and he warns him to change his ways or face the consequences in the afterlife. Amid big-budget medieval pageantry, King Richard goes on the Crusades leaving his brother Prince John as regent, who promptly emerges as a cruel, grasping, treacherous tyrant. Apprised of England's peril by message from his lady-love Marian, the dashing Earl of Huntingdon endangers his life and honor by returning to oppose John, but finds himself and his friends outlawed, with Marian apparently dead. In the Tim Burton sequel to the 1989 Batman Michael Keaton reprises his starring role with Danny DeVito as the Penguin, Christopher Walken as Max Shreck and Michelle Pfeiffer at the Catwoman. Meow! OK here is why it is a Christmas movie: Batman Returns takes place on multiple Christmas seasons. Gotham is decked out for Christmas from Wayne Manor to Gotham center. Everyone wishes each other Merry Christmas and with the snowfall you are certainly in a winter wonderland. With the clown gang attacking the tree lighting ceremony and the relighting ceremony Christmas is the focus of the film. Filled with Christmas music the film features a grinchy Penguin and a Scrooge like Max Shreck. In the end the spirit of Christmas wins, but we won't give away the ending.

This Steven Spielberg produced and Chris Columbus directed holiday classic features Howie Mandel as Gizmo, Zach Gallian as Billy, Phoebe Cates as Kate and fun ensemble cast including Corey Feldman Judge Reinhold, Harry Carey Jr. and others. Be careful what you get for Christmas. After receiving a mogwai for the holidays Billy is not great at following the rules. Miniature green monsters tear through the small town of Kingston Falls. Hijinks ensue as a mild-mannered bank teller releases these hideous loonies after gaining a new pet and violating two of three simple rules: No water (violated), no food after midnight (violated), and no bright light. Hilarious mayhem and destruction in a town straight out of Norman Rockwell. So, when your washing machine blows up or your TV goes on the fritz, before you call the repair man, turn on all the lights and look under all the beds. 'Cause you never can tell, there just might be a gremlin in your house.

A lone prospector ventures into Alaska looking for gold. He gets mixed up with some burly characters and falls in love with the beautiful Georgia. He tries to win her heart with his singular charm. S=Written, Produced and directed by Charles Chaplin (Modern Times) who stars in his Little Tramp persona, and featuring Mack Swain (Gentlemen Prefer Blonds), Georgia Hale (The Great Gatsby), and a host of Chaplin film regulars. The Gold Rush was critically acclaimed upon its release, and continues to be one of Chaplin's most celebrated works; Chaplin himself cited it several times as the film for which he most wanted to be remembered.
