The LAVA Center

About

The LAVA Center is a community arts and humanities space, arts incubator, and black box theater in downtown Greenfield, MA.

The LAVA Center is a place where all, including marginalized communities and individuals, can have their voices heard. We are an arts incubator, providing many opportunities for creatives and their work to be nourished. Our humanities programming centers on local history, and social and environmental justice themes. Patrons are welcomed into our community and discover thought-provoking, entertaining, and inspiring programs and artistic work.

Our mission is to create opportunities in and through the arts and humanities.

In early 2020, we opened The LAVA Center in downtown Greenfield with the goal of fostering creativity and community by hosting theater, literary, music, and visual artists.

The LAVA Center is also available to rent, providing an affordable option for groups needing space for meetingsworkshops and classesrehearsals and small performances.

The LAVA Center is located at 324 Main Street in downtown Greenfield, MA, between TD Bank and the Pushkin Gallery.

The LAVA Center is run by the nonprofit organization Local Access to Valley Arts.
