Greenfield Farmers Cooperative Exchange
About
We’re a farmer-owned cooperative in Greenfield, MA with more than 800 local members. Our retail store is open to the public and has thousands of products for your home, farm, garden and pets.
Greenfield Farmers Cooperative Exchange was founded in 1918. There was no physical store, farmers would pick up products from a train on a siding in Deerfield. Eventually a storage building was added, bagged feed and other products were available. As business grew, a branch was opened on Main Street in Greenfield and then expanded again at our current location on High Street.
Today at 101 years young, the Co-Op showroom covers 12,000 square feet with additional warehouses, a greenhouse and outdoor nursery. We carry more than 21,000 items for the farm, home or garden. Currently there are more than 800 farmer members, but you don’t have to be a member to shop here.
