Join us for GCC Theater’s fall performance of John Cariani’s Love/Sick, a collection of nine slightly twisted and completely hilarious short plays. Set on a night in an alternate suburban reality, this “unromantic comedy for the romantic in everyone” explores the pain and the joy that comes with being in love. Directed by Tom Geha with a cast of GCC students and local community members. $15/general admission, $5 student/senior admission. In this workshop we will work on methods for painting trees, skies, clouds and water. We will explore how to use your brushes to paint trees, wet on wet painting, wet on dry painting, removing paint to create clouds and ripples, and how to create dynamic movement with your brushstrokes. There will be short demos, some practice painting, and you will work on a painting of your own. Watercolor materials will be provided, or you are free to bring your own materials. Do bring photos of landscapes (with trees, skies and water) you enjoy and you can paint from the image of your choice. This workshop is appropriate both for beginners and more advanced painters wanting to practice technique.

Join us for an incredible presentation as we wrap up this year’s Cyber-Senior program at GCC! Local youth have paired with local older adults to make short YouTube films that will be screened at our intergenerational film festival—featuring dinner and a talk-back where the stars of the shows will discuss the bonds and friendships that have grown as a result. The project was overseen by independent filmmaker and GCC alum Julian Lowenthal whose recent film Money Game was featured at the Greenfield Garden Cinemas, and made possible by a grant from the Executive Office of Elder Affairs and in partnership with the Greenfield Senior Center. On every last Friday of the month downtown Greenfield comes alive in a celebration of the local arts scene! The Greenfield Arts Walk is a town-wide event featuring a cohort of local arts organizations including Madhouse Multi-Arts, Hawks & Reed, and Greenfield Gallery to name a few. The Arts Walk's mission is to grow the local creative community and economy by attracting interest from beyond the region while strengthening the connections within. During the Arts Walk, many featured destinations showcase work submitted by local artists, providing them with an excellent opportunity to gain a stronger local following and sell their work. 
Presenting the monthly Handicraft Social which we’ll be hosting on the final Friday of the month at 5pm! Join us at 231 Main Street during the Arts Walk for a relaxed night of adult (18+ please) crafting and chatting. Bring something fun to do with your hands, be it knitting, sewing, drawing, sculpting, or any other project you can take along with you!
