Come be a part of the kids' GPL Lego Club! Legos will be available to play with in the Children's Room every Monday from 3:30 - 5pm. Complete one of the given challenges or make your own creation to be put on display until the next week. This workshop will occur Monday evenings in March/April in two hour, limited group sessions at Looky Here. Each week we will explore a different theme through literary and artistic references, group discussion, and generative writing prompts provided live and in session. The ultimate goal of this workshop is to jumpstart your writing practice for the summer in a supportive and productive environment guided by a tapestry of subject matter. In this 5-week workshop from November 5th to December 10th, we’ll help you get your work edited, formatted, and Risograph printed into a 20-copy edition of your very own book — with up to 20 pages! Whether you’re working in poetry, prose, comics, or collage, you’ll learn how to take your project from draft to finished object using Risograph printing and simple bookbinding techniques. We'll meet bi-weekly from October to March and challenge ourselves with fun drawing prompts and activities. You'll unlock the creativity you thought you’d lost as a child and silence your inner critic all while doing some serious memory mining. Bring your WordPress questions! This is a great time to figure out where you're stuck, and make some progress on your project. You may wish to bring a laptop to take notes or to share your screen.
