4 weeks, 4 themes, and your new year’s writing commitment. Over the course of four weeks, gather to discuss and generate new work with writer L Scully. This workshop will occur Monday evenings in March/April in two hour, limited group sessions at Looky Here. Each week we will explore a different theme through literary and artistic references, group discussion, and generative writing prompts provided live and in session. Nisse Greenberg and Trouble Mandeson are back hosting your favorite storytelling open mic and potluck in Greenfield! Come to the LAVA Center to tell a story or share a snack or just imbibe them both. Every 1st Thursday at The LAVA Center. Doors open and food is served at 6pm. Show will start at 7pm. All stories are meant to be true, personal stories from your own life. Show is pay-what-you-want. This program is sponsored in part by a grant from the Greenfield Cultural Council.

The Greenfield Farmers' Market welcomes 20+ vendors to Court Square every Saturday from 9 am - 1:30 pm. Rain or shine! From fresh veggies, eggs, meats, and fruits, to locally handmade crafts and treats, there is a little something for everyone! We also feature a rotating line-up of local music and special services and activities. SNAP/HIP accepted throughout the entire market for eligible items!

Our Community Meal provides access through curbside and delivery service to delicious, nutritious, scratch-cooked, balanced meals every Saturday to all of our community members on a pay-what-you-can basis. Our menus cater to various dietary needs and cultural cuisines with vegetarian, vegan, or meat selections. Everything we make is GLUTEN-FREE! We offer a "prix fixe" menu that typically includes an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert. While guests can modify these based on dietary restrictions, there is only one option to choose from per course. Since COVID, Stone Soup Café has had to shift from a buffet-style lunch to a fixed, set menu for curbside pickup or delivery. The Café prides itself on providing a delicious, nutritious, edible, incredible, meal every Saturday – come rain, snow, or sunshine! Back by popular demand, Greenfield Tree Committee is holding its Second Annual Crossroads Tree Tour in downtown Greenfield. The tour is directed by Dan Ziomek, plant and soil scientist and Sugarloaf Gardens nursery manager. Dan’s voice is well known from Birdsongs, the WRSI radio show that features Dan’s knowledge of bird habitat, migration and bird songs. Greenfield’s downtown is graced with an impressive variety of trees that line our streets and provide shady respite on hot summer days. Learn about the trees that enhance our downtown on this ¾-mile loop highlighting 16 important trees that beautify downtown Greenfield. We will meet at the Town Common at 6 pm rain or shine!

Presenting the monthly Handicraft Social which we’ll be hosting on the final Friday of the month at 5pm! Join us at 231 Main Street during the Arts Walk for a relaxed night of adult (18+ please) crafting and chatting. Bring something fun to do with your hands, be it knitting, sewing, drawing, sculpting, or any other project you can take along with you! Bring whatever tools/supplies you need, as this event is downstairs in the gallery and we won’t have access to the tools in the makerspace. This event is BYOB–Bring Your Own Beverage. Smack Dab Queer Open Mic is a free 18+ LGBTQIA community open mic in Greenfield, MA with the slogan “All genders, all the time.” Your hosts are Jules and Avery. Smack Dab Queer Open Mic is modeled after the now defunct Smack Dab in San Francisco, founded in 2003 by Kirk Read and Larry-bob Roberts at Magnet, the gay men’s health clinic in the Castro. If you’d like to perform at the open mic, please come sign up and bring five to seven minutes of whatever you want to share: stories, poems, a song, dance, your art or, perhaps you’d simply like to join us as audience?
