Beginning Monday, October 27 at 6:00 pm, join us once a month on the fourth Monday for a dive into seasonal projects and hands-on crafts with artist Danielle Lucier in the GPL Makerspace. Through March, each month will feature a new project inspired by the time of year—think cozy autumn décor, festive holiday creations, and spring florals. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced crafter, you’ll enjoy learning new techniques, sharing ideas, and creating something unique to take home. Come for the crafts, stay for the community! This program is intended for ages 13+ In October, we'll be making collaged self-portraits. This program is free, but space is limited, and registration is required. Register at: https://greenfieldpl.libcal.com/event/15104189 For further information, contact Francesca Passiglia at [email protected] or call (413) 772-1544 x5120. This program, sponsored by the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library, is free and intended for ages |

Description: In Art with Annaleah we will explore a variety of mediums such as drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture. Emphasizing both material experimentation and technical skill-building, this class encourages creative exploration through hands-on demonstrations and guided practice. We will do both short-term projects that last one class, while other projects will span multiple classes. Come ready to get messy, try new things, and expand your artistic toolkit! Annaleah Moon Gregoire is a mixed-media artist from Western Massachusetts. After graduating with a B.F.A. in sculpture from California College of the Arts in 2021, Annaleah dove into a career as a freelance artist in congruence with teaching art privately and in schools. She also has a small t-shirt company where her illustrations are turned into comfortable streetwear.

Have a favorite sweater that has a hole? Jeans with a torn out knee? Canvas bag that is losing its handle? A button that has come off? Bring your clean item to the GPL Makerspace on the third Tuesday of the month between 2:00 - 4:00 pm, and let us brainstorm a solution so that you can mend your item. We will help you figure out the fix and maybe even get you started. We have sewing machines, simple hand sewing tools for basic mending repairs. Drop-ins are welcome and pre-registration is preferred. Email us at [email protected] to tell us what you plan to bring to the mending clinic. For more information, contact Nancy Little at [email protected] or call (413) 772-1544. This program, generously sponsored by the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library, is free and intended for ages 14 and up. |
