“Home is a River”, Photographs by Alix Kaplan

The Greenfield Public Library welcomes photographer Alix Kaplan and their exhibit Home is a River, which will be on display in the Library’s Conference Room this April. An opening reception will be held in the Conference Room  on Wednesday, April 2, from 5:00 - 7:30 pm. Alix Kaplan grew up an only child and learned early on that the environment offers a companionship to all those who need it. They hold a degree in Environmental Studies from Tufts University and a handful of awards from film festivals for their work in animation. Alix now resides in Greenfield, MA working for a local conservation organization, Connecticut River Conservancy. Their photographs are the culmination of artistic curiosity and environmental stewardship.

Ready to clean out your closet for Spring? Drop off your old duds and browse for some new looks. Drink a beer with your friends and do one of those fashion montages where you try on a bunch of different things to varying levels of approval. Any clothes without a new home by the end of the day will be donated to Redistro, your friendly neighborhood Free Store. Please only bring clothes in wearable condition (clean, no rips, tears, etc.) Nobody wants your worn out socks. 🙂
