“MUSIC FOR MUSHROOMS,” a feature-length documentary from acclaimed musician East Forest (Krishna-Trevor Oswalt), will have its Western Massachusetts theatrical premiere at the Greenfield Garden Cinemas in Greenfield at 6pm on Sunday, November 3rd, 2024. Local advocacy groups will host an informal, free networking and coalition building pre-show reception at 4:30pm, at the Garden in support of MA for Mental Health Options / Yes on 4 campaign to provide legal access to psychedelic assisted therapy on the ballot in Massachusetts November 5th. Representatives from partner organizations include Parents for Plant Medicine, Open Circle Alliance, the Veteran Alliance for Psychedelic Access, Heroic Hearts Project, Students for Sensible Drug Policy, Western Mass Psychedelic Society and more. The documentary seeks to raise awareness about the healing potential of alternative therapies, including psychedelics, by sharing personal stories of those who have transformed their lives through these methods. East Forest, a pioneering figure for over 15 years, explores the growing psychedelic renaissance and the powerful role of music as a healing modality. JOIN THE FUN NOVEMBER 3 at 6 and 8 PM at LAVA Center, Greenfield On Saturday afternoon, November 2, a group of playwrights will receive a prompt, pick some actors out of a hat, and spend the next 25 hours writing brand new plays and bringing them to performance. Featuring local and regional playwrights: Henry Balzarini, Nina Gross, Silvia Kaplan, Jan Maher, Jonathan Mirin, and Brian Rust. It’s wild, wacky and fun! Most of all, it’s super creative!
