The Earth, Our Home: Handmade Hooked Rugs by Phyllis Lawrence

Opening Reception and Rug Hooking Demonstration: Saturday, October 4 , 10 – 11:30am

The Greenfield Public Library welcomes Phyllis Lawrence and her exhibit “The Earth, Our Home: Handmade Hooked Rugs”, which will be on display through October 31 in the Library’s Conference Room. 

An opening reception and rug hooking demonstration will be held on Saturday, October 4, from 10:00 – 11:30 am.

Phyllis Lawrence lives in Wendell with her husband, where they built their home, cleared and worked the land while raising two sons. She became interested in the Fiber Arts in the 1970’s, raising sheep, spinning and weaving. Since 2012, after retiring from her work in Early Childhood for over 25 years, she took up rug hooking and felting.
