Seed Saving: The Why and How
About This Event
The Greenfield Public Library welcomes Paulina Borrego, Wrangler of the Mass Aggie Seed Library at UMass Amherst, for their Seed Saving presentation on Friday, October 17 at 3:00 pm.
Whether or not you picked up a packet of Provider green bean seeds and participated in the Common Seed project last Spring, this Fall is a good opportunity to learn about seed saving!
No matter your level of gardening, saving seeds is easy. Some people save seeds to save money, while others selectively save seeds from favorite varieties to further a particular trait. Join Paulina to learn simple seed saving basic techniques and resources to further your knowledge.
For more information, contact Nancy Little at nancy.little@greenfield-ma.gov or call (413) 772-1544.
This program, generously sponsored by the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library, is free and intended for ages 14 and up.
