Seed Saving: A Hands-on Workshop
About This Event
Join us in the Makerspace on Friday, January 23, at 2:00 pm, for a hands-on seed saving workshop with Paulina Borrego, Wrangler of the Mass Aggie Seed Library at UMass Amherst.
No matter your level of gardening, saving seeds is easy. Some people save seeds to save money, while others selectively save seeds from favorite varieties to further a particular trait. In this hands-on workshop we will be saving seeds from sunflower heads, cosmos, calendula, and other vegetables and flowers. You are welcome to bring your own seeds to process as well.
Come learn some simple seed saving techniques, as well as resources to further your knowledge.
This workshop is limited to 12 participants. Registration is required.
