Needleworker’s Guild: Embroidery for Everyone
About This Event
Join us on Monday, July 13 at 6:00 pm, for a fun, creative embroidery workshop that meets once a month in the GPL Makerspace!
Whether you’re brand new to embroidery or already have a project underway, this is the perfect space to learn, stitch, and connect. Each session will cover essential embroidery basics—like simple stitches, hooping techniques, and finishing touches—while also giving you plenty of time to continue your own projects at a relaxed pace. Bring your own materials or borrow ours. All are welcome from beginners to pro stitchers!
This month we’ll be making summer tote bags! Come embroider a summer tote for all your warm weather adventures!
This class is part of our Summer Roundhouse Series. Participants are encouraged to use the skills they’ve learned to make a project to enter at this fall’s Franklin County Fair. We will hold sessions in mid-August to assist with framing and entering arts and crafts into the Roundhouse. Participants may also use the Makerspace and classroom materials throughout the summer.
This program, made possible thanks to a grant from the Greenfield Local Cultural Council and the Franklin County Fair , is free and intended for teens and adults, ages 13+. No experience is necessary.
Pre-registration is required due to limited materials: https://greenfieldpl.libcal.com/event/16626153
