Marlboro Remainders exhibit opening reception

A group of Marlboro College Alumni will present work at the LAVA Center gallery for the month of August. This is their second year presenting an art show. This year includes many of the same artists and several new ones. This show has been organized by Kevin McCamant, Annie Quest and Lindy Whiton who all attended Marlboro 50 years ago. The show will include ceramics, painting, photography and printmaking. The artists primarily live in the Northeast, many of them in the Valley.

Last year we produced this event in order to have a reunion. It was very successful and did draw a crowd of 60 alumni at the reception alone. This year we hope to gather many at the reception on August 8th at 11:00 to 2 pm, and that everyone attends gallery hours and comes to see the array of artworks produced primarily by a group of retirees who are spending time with their art forms at this point in their lives.

The artists include; Neil Bakalar (New York), Mark Manley (New Hampshire), Annie Quest (Vermont), Tony Savoie (Massachusetts), J. Mark Littlehales (Vermont), Diane Worth (Massachusetts), Matthew Tell (Vermont), Kevin McCamant (Maryland), Steve Kemish (Massachusetts), and Lindy Whiton (Massachusetts).
