Loose Ends Project/Drop-in Knitting and Crochet
About This Event
On Tuesday, October 6, the Drop-In Knitting & Crochet group has a special guest, a volunteer from the Loose Ends Project. This meeting will take place in the GPL Conference Room at 5:30 pm, in person and on Zoom.
If you can only attend by Zoom, email us for the registration link at [email protected]
The Loose Ends Project matches volunteer handwork finishers with textile projects (knitting, quilting, sewing, etc.) left unfinished due to a maker’s death, illness, or disability. With nearly 37,000 volunteers, the nonprofit fosters community and eases grief by returning completed, cherished items to families. One volunteer says, “I personally had the opportunity to complete a knitted sweater for a woman whose mother was unable to complete it before she passed away. It was a rewarding experience not only to finish something that her mother had started but to be able to give her something to remind her of her mother.”

This program, generously sponsored by the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library, is free and open to the public.
