Intro to Pysanky: the Ukrainian Art of Wax Resist Egg Dyeing

Join artist and librarian Francesca on Friday, February 27 at 10:00 am, for a fun and educational class learning the art of Pysanky. We will learn a basic traditional pysanky pattern and create a single colored egg writing with melted beeswax and a kistka. The tradition of pysanky egg writing as well as the symbolism of the images used will also be covered.

All materials will be provided.
