Internet Safety for Parents, Guardians, and Community
About This Event
The Children’s Advocacy Center of Franklin County and North Quabbin will honor National Child Abuse Prevention Month this April with a series of local events, including two at the Greenfield Public Library.
On April 8 at 6pm, the Center will host an internet safety presentation for parents and children, focused on helping families navigate online risks and protect young people in digital spaces. This training on internet safety will include a 15 min Q&A session.
From Monday, April 20 through Friday, April 24, the Center will present its powerful Silhouettes Exhibit in the Library’s Community Meeting Room. This moving installation represents the children and teens of Franklin County and North Quabbin who came forward in 2025 to share their experiences of sexual abuse or exploitation.
These silhouettes symbolize only a fraction of those affected, an estimated ten percent, meaning hundreds more in our community may still be suffering in silence. Through the Silhouettes Exhibit, the Children’s Advocacy Center honors the courage of those who have spoken out, encourages others to seek help, and brings greater awareness to a difficult but critical issue.
