Guiding Star Grange’s 150th Celebration!

Known far and wide for decades as the epicenter of the contradance scene, Guiding Star Grange has a much longer history as part of a national fraternity with the purpose of promoting the spiritual and social well-being of rural families.

In 1873 Greenfield farm families organized the first Grange in Massachusetts, “Guiding Star Grange #1.” Join us June 17th, 2023, 150 years later, to share in the Grange’s mission to nurture and protect the land, our families and our communities.

Saturday June 17th, noon – late!

Grange 150th all-day celebration, featuring: outdoor fair & music, contra dancing, dinner and presentations about the history of Guiding Star and New England contra dancers, longstanding and vibrant pillars of our community. Outdoor Fair to feature local agriculture, art, medicine and community-based collaborations, with food by Comida Sabor Latino and buffet dinner by Hillside Organic Catering.
