Greenfield Public Library Presents: Fall Into Noir Movie Series
About This Event
The Greenfield Public Library is thrilled to announce its upcoming “Fall Into Noir” movie series, a week-long celebration of classic film noir, beginning Monday, September 23. Join us for an immersive journey into the shadowy world of intrigue, suspense, and timeless storytelling.
Due to licensing restrictions we can’t share the names of the movie, but we can give you the following hint:
Starring Humphrey Bogart as the hard-boiled detective Sam Spade, this 1941 film revolves around the search for a priceless statuette. It’s a quintessential film noir with its dark, moody atmosphere and complex characters.
Each screening will be held in the library’s Community Meeting Room. Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend. We encourage attendees to stay for the post-film discussions on September 23 and September 27, where we will delve deeper into the themes, characters, and cinematic techniques that make these films enduring classics.
For more information, please contact the Greenfield Public Library at (413) 772-1544 or visit our website at www.greenfieldlibrary.org.
Doors open 30 minutes before the show starts. Outside food and drink are allowed. Movies will run until completed, unless otherwise indicated.
Movies are free to the public, thanks to the generous support of the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library.
