Greenfield Public Library Presents: Fall Into Noir Movie Series

The Greenfield Public Library is thrilled to announce its upcoming “Fall Into Noir” movie series, a week-long celebration of classic film noir, beginning Monday, September 23. Join us for an immersive journey into the shadowy world of intrigue, suspense, and timeless storytelling.

 Due to licensing restrictions we can’t share the names of the movie, but we can give you the following hint:

A neo-noir film set in 1930s Los Angeles, it follows a private detective who uncovers a web of corruption and deceit. The 1974 film is celebrated for its complex plot and Jack Nicholson’s iconic performance.There will be a post film discussion.

Each screening will be held in the library’s Community Meeting Room. Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend. We encourage attendees to stay for the post-film discussions on September 23 and September 27, where we will delve deeper into the themes, characters, and cinematic techniques that make these films enduring classics.

 Doors open 30 minutes before the show starts. Outside food and drink are allowed. Movies will  run until completed, unless otherwise indicated.
