GPL Zine Club Presents: Construction Workshop with Bee Leake

Join artist and zinester Bee Leake on Monday, January 5 at 6:15 pm in the Makerspace for a zine construction workshop!

Before you jump into drawing and collaging your zine, what shape will it be? How much time do you want to spend making your copies? Will you lavish attention on each zine with hand stitched binding, custom cutting, and special folding, or do you want to do something unique that won’t tire out your hands? In this workshop we’ll think about and play with shape, size, binding techniques, and all the cool things that simple sheets of paper can become.

Bee (mossybee.com) is a visual artist and writer based in Western Mass who has been making zines since 2004. Their work can be found at DIY, zine, and craft events throughout the Pioneer Valley. At this workshop you’ll get to see zines by Bee and many other creators to get inspired to make your own.
