About This Event

The Greenfield Public Library welcomes Dr. Rebecca Starrfor “Conversations about Memory”.

Dr Starr will speak about brain changes from the spectrum of normal aging to dementia, as well as what we can do to maintain and improve our own cognition. There will be considerable time for questions and answers as well as the opportunity to hear from others on their own experiences.

Starr founded Starr Geriatrics with the belief that every individual, regardless of age or cognitive and functional limitations, deserves to live a life full of purpose and well-being. To achieve these goals, Starr Geriatrics offers a membership based primary care model designed specifically for adults aged 55 and older which goes beyond traditional healthcare, embracing lifestyle medicine and comprehensive, personalized care to help patients achieve their health goals. Geriatric consultations around cognitive and functional changes are available as well.

Dr. Starr also serves as the Medical Director for Mass General Brigham Cooley Dickinson Hospital’s Pioneer Valley Memory Care Initiative (PVMCI), funded by the Eisenberg Family Trust, which supports people with cognitive changes and their family care partners through individualized care plans that incorporate services from community partners.

This program, generously sponsored by the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library, is free and open to everyone in our community.
