Class of 1969 Celebrates the 55th Anniversary of Easy Rider

The GHS class of 1969 will be back in town for their 55th reunion and invites you to join them in celebrating a classic film from the year of their graduation Easy rider. A road movie that embodies the feeling of being a hippie as two friends head cross-country to Mardi Gras. A controversial period film by Dennis Hopper and Peter Fonda with some classic music from a generation of wanderers.

Jack Nicholson was received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, while Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper and Terry Souther were nominated for Best Original Screenplay. The film was inducted into the United States Film Registry at the Library of Congress on 1998 and is #88 on the American Film Institute’s Top 100 movie list.
