Bookends Spring Book Discussion: Running with Sherman

About This Event
Welcome to Bookends, a collaboration between Greenfield Public Library and Greenfield Community College. We meet four times a year to read and discuss books that appeal to a wide range of ages from teen to senior citizen. Our goal is to bring readers of different generations and backgrounds together and spark conversations that unite our community. In April we’ll be discussing Running with Sherman, by Christopher McDougall.
Running with Sherman is a heartwarming story about rehabilitating a rescue donkey and training him to run in a burro race, highlighting the power of human-animal connection and the joy of a life with animals.
The book discussion will be held on Thursday, April 24, from 5:30 – 7:00 pm at the Greenfield Public Library, with readers of all ages from all backgrounds. Pennsylvania Dutch inspired appetizers will be served.
Copies of Running with Sherman are available for check out at Greenfield Public Library and the Nahman-Watson Library at GCC.
Pre-registration is recommended but not required: https://engage.gcc.mass.edu/bookends/
