9:00 am-3:00 pm – Youth Basketball League Games

Stop by the Middle School gym to watch the Greenfield Recreation Youth Basketball teams play against local rivals. Admission is free.

9:30 am-12:30 pm Family Activities at 20 Sanderson Street

Special Sensory Hour: 9:30-10:30 am: Please note, space is limited. We ask that only those with sensory needs attend this special hour.

Join us at 20 Sanderson Street for an art Exhibit by Greenfield Public School students, arts and crafts projects, festive face paint, and a board game social presented by Greenfield Games. Greenfield Public Schools Title I Program will also be on site with giveaways.

10:00 am – Virtual Jigsaw Puzzle Contest

Assemble your team to compete for the Winter Carnival Piece Prize! This virtual puzzle contest will put your puzzling skills to the test as teams of up to 4 compete to complete a 550 piece puzzle the quickest, all from the comfort of your home via Zoom. Team pre-registration required. Registration fee is $20 and team gets to keep the puzzle.

10:00 am-12:00 pm – Warm up with the Y

Visit the Y for a hot chocolate bar loaded with delicious toppings and winter cheer.

10:00 am-1:00 pm – Carnival Crafts at the Library 

Drop by the Library to make a Yeti Valentine in the Children’s room or a Yeti Snow Globe in the Teen Makerspace.

10:00 am-1:00 pm – Winter Farmer’s Market at the Library 

Support our local growers and makers by shopping at the Winter Farmer’s Market.

10:30 am-11:15 am Family Dance Lesson at Dawn’s School of Dance

Learn a special dance with Miss Dawn! All ages and dance levels are welcome. This is a simple but very fun routine that will get you moving and put a smile on everyone’s face. Bring your friends, your siblings, and even your grandparents! You won’t want to miss out on this free hoppin’ and poppin’ dance spectacular!

12:00 pm-4:00 pm – Cribbage Tournament

Give it a go! Is it in the cards that you will end up a peg ahead or will you be skunked? This event is fun for all ages! Modified American Cribbage Congress rules will be in effect. $20 Registration. Register online at: https://friendsofgreenfieldrecreation.org/ or pay at the door if space is available. Boards and cards provided. Custom Pioneer Valley Wood Art Championship and Runner-up Cribbage Board/Trophies awarded. Held at the John Zon Community Center. Doors open at 12:00 pm with play beginning at 1:00 pm.

1:00 pm – Mad Science Fire & Ice Show 

Join us in the Greenfield Middle School Auditorium for a spectacular show that thrills audiences with impressive science experiments including foggy dry ice storms, floating giant beach balls, shivering scissors, and more! This program is supported by the Greenfield Public Schools Title I Program.

1:00 pm-9:00 pm – Winter Carnival Dark Beer Fest at Four Phantoms Brewing Company 

Join Four Phantoms Brewing Company for a special tasting experience that delves into the deeper, darker side of brewing. Embrace the chill of early February with their curated tasting flight and banish the winter blues.

2:00 pm-4:00 pm – Greenfield’s Winter Carnival, 1923 at the LAVA Center

The LAVA Center will be hosting a continuous loop showing of a 9-minute film documenting Greenfield’s first Winter Carnival.

2:30 pm-5:30 pm – Just Fine Thank You Band at Four Phantoms Brewing Company 

Visit Four Phantoms Brewing Company and enjoy electric-ukulele driven arrangements of favorite songs ranging from country to jazz standards to punk rock. https://justfinethankyouband.com/

3:00 pm – Fatbike Group Ride 

Bicycle World will be leading a group ride through the Greenfield Ridge. The ride will depart from Bicycle World, 104 Federal Street at 3:00 pm. Bring your own equipment.

5:30 pm-7:00 pm – Glow Party at Greenfield Middle School Cafeteria 

Let it glow, let it glow, let it glow! DJ Jason Antes will provide music for a one of a kind glow in the dark dance! Hit the dance floor and show off your best moves! Free glow accessories available or come decked out in your own! Fun for all ages.

6:00 pm – Friends of the Greenfield Public Library BINGO Fundraiser at the Elks Club

Doors open at 5:30pm, Bingo starts at 6:30pm. Cash prizes and raffles.

6:30 pm – Four Phantoms Brewing Company Drag Trivia

House of Hors and Four Phantoms Brewing Company invite you to join us for Secrets of the Sovereigns Pop Culture Trivia + Drag Show! Get your tickets early at www.houseofhors.com. There will also be a Special Edition Patch Burger Indoor Pop Up to feed your winter hunger!
