My calling as a healer began when, as a small child, I sought out plants and flowers, making them into “soups” and “medicines” for the birds and rabbits in my backyard in my hometown in coastal Connecticut. I saw and spoke to angels, fairies, and Mother Mary, and communicated with animals, trees, and the natural world. At age ten, I acquired a set of ESP cards and a book, discovered my psychic ability, and carried on a correspondence with the author. My Tarot studies began in my teens. My Bachelor’s thesis was on the shamanic healing rituals of the !Kung people in Botswana, whom I met in my travels. These early experiences all led me to pursue a career in healing.
I have studied Herbal Medicine, Tibetan Medicine, Chinese Medicine, Tarot, and other healing modalities as well as the I Ching with renowned teachers from all over the world. I hold degrees in Chinese Acupuncture from the Tri-State Institute of Chinese Acupuncture in New York and the College of Traditional Acupuncture, UK, and a Master’s Degree in Chinese and Tibetan Psychology and Medicine from Lesley University. I studied Chinese Herbology with Dr. Ted Kaptchuk, and earned my Master Herbalist Degree and Aromatherapy Certification at the School of Natural Healing in Springville, Utah, in addition to studies with Simon Mills, David Hoffman, Rosemary Gladstar, and other noted herbalists. I studied Tibetan Medicine with Dr. Yeshe Dhonden, personal physician to the 14th Dalai Lama, as well as with noted Tibetan physicians in Nepal and India. I was certified as an Educational Therapist through the National Institute for Learning Development. I earned a Diploma in Tarot Therapy from Steve Hounsome, I am a Certified Hypnosis Practitioner and Certified Master Hypnotherapist Practitioner, a Certified Reiki Master/Teacher, and also have a Diploma in Bach Flower Essence Therapy. I am a Certified Shamanic Life Coach and Master of Shamanic Journeying, Ritual and Healing, and the first graduate of the Wheel of Segais Reader Training Course with Pamela Meekings-Stewart. My adventures have included extensive travel, living in a teepee, running a dairy goat farm, working as a shepherd, and home schooling every grade from pre-school through 12. I am the mother of 3 children.
